At this stage, a provincial meeting of the specialist is made with the person who will have hair transplantation. After a comprehensive examination, the expectations and needs of the people who will have hair transplantation are discussed openly and clearly. It is important for the specialist to understand the client’s expectations from the hair transplant, how he wants it to happen afterward, and how much hair transplant he needs, and to plan the hair transplant accordingly. During this control, the patient’s age, health problems, facial structure, how long his hair has started to fall out and whether this shedding is slowing down are discussed. Because the hair loss that started at a certain age and stopped before the hair transplant is important for the permanence of the hair transplant. Since the hair that continues to shed will be shedding after hair transplantation, there may be problems with the desired image. All details should be discussed and a good examination should be made in order to avoid such a problem and to make the hair transplant permanent.
Blood Analysis
After the first control, blood is taken to see if the client has a condition that prevents hair transplantation, and according to the results, hair transplantation operation is applied to people who do not have any blood disease or high value. This stage is the most important step in terms of the health of the people and the permanence of the hair transplant. It is also the legal and ethical responsibility of the specialist and the clinic where the hair transplant is performed.
Hair Frontline Design
Before the hair transplant operation, at this stage, planning is made about how the bald areas will look after the hair transplant according to the face and head structure of the person to be transplanted. A drawing is made by determining the boundaries of the area to be transplanted into the balding area. Before and after photos are taken so that you can see the difference after hair transplantation. Thanks to special programs, the image of the hair transplant is shown to the client in order to create an idea of how the photos will look after the hair transplant is done in digital media. At this stage, you will have an idea about how it will look after hair transplantation.
Haircut
The haircut stage, which is the next stage after the hair front line design, is the last step before hair transplantation. At this stage, the hair is shaved and a suitable ground is prepared for planting. In some methods, the client’s hair is completely shaved to reduce the risk of infection and to see the area to be transplanted easily. In some methods and hair transplants in small areas, the hair may not be completely shaved. There may be changes at this stage depending on the method applied and the area to be transplanted.
Donor Area Local Anesthesia Application
The area where the hair follicle seeds (graft) are taken for hair transplantation in the donor area is called the donor area. Donor sites are usually designated as spill-resistant nape. However, in some cases, donor site changes are made. If there are not enough hair follicles in the nape area, the back of the ears or the sides of the head can also be selected as the donor area. After the donor area is determined, local anesthesia is applied to that area with the help of injection. The purpose of this procedure is that the patient does not feel pain or pain during the collection of hair follicle seeds. While applying local anesthesia to the donor area, 10-15 needles are inserted. A few of these entrances can be felt by the patient and a slight pain may be felt, but after a few needle insertions, there is no feeling of pain, and there is no pain during the hair transplant operation.
Collecting Hair Root Seed
After the anesthesia applied to the determined donor area, the hair follicle seeds required for hair transplantation are started to be collected. According to the size of the area to be transplanted, the number of hair follicles to be collected is determined at the first control and planning stage, and the collection of hair follicle seeds as much as that number is started. Hair follicle seed collection is done with the help of punch biopsy pens powered by a motor. In the DHI method, the collection process is performed with a medical pen called choı. There may be differences in these items according to different methods, but the basis of the process is that it is done with special pens that provide hair follicle collection.
Transplantation Area Local Anesthesia Application
Another step that is approaching the end of the hair transplant operation is the application of local anesthesia to the area to be transplanted. The same procedure applied to the donor area is also applied to the area to be transplanted. The purpose of this anesthesia is that the patient does not feel pain. Local anesthesia is applied to the area to be transplanted with the help of injection, and after the first few injections, no pain is felt.
Planting Hair Root Seeds
It is the process of transferring hair follicle seeds (graft) to the area to be transplanted, which is the last of the long-lasting stages of the hair transplant operation. With this stage, the hair transplant operation is completed. This process differs in the duration of hair transplantation according to the method used, the width of the area to be transplanted, and the number of hair follicle seeds collected. The average planting time of 2000 hair follicle seeds takes 2 hours. Planting 4000 hair follicle seeds may take 5-6 hours. More than 4000 hair follicle transplant operations may take 2 days. The collected hair follicle seeds are placed in the channels opened with special medical pens to the area to be transplanted. Thus, the hair transplant operation is completed.
